1. Introduction
Working with leather isn't as hard as some people fear it will be since leather is versatile and comes in an array of types and colours. Leather crafting is the practice of making leather into craft objects or works of art, using shaping techniques, colouring techniques or both. As dyeing of leather is straightforward and requires some time to dry, workshops do not generally teach people how to dye leather. Similarly, our leather workshops focus on leather crafting, which teaches one how to make personalized leather goods. These leather goods can range from passport covers to wallets to card / key holders.
2. Team Bonding
Leather workshops do not just provide an opportunity to create leather goods but also to know more about your colleagues, family and friends. By working through tasks together, you will be able to see different sides to people. Not only does this refreshing and unique activity serve to relieve stress, but it will also enable team members to relax and hang out with one another outside of work.
3. Skills
Patience and concentration are virtues that one could develop through leather workshops because leather crafting can be a long and tedious task. The most common processes done in these workshops include cutting and stitching. These tasks might be simple, but they can really test one's patience as they are repeated over and over again. Ensuring that the leather is crafted with precision, patience, and meticulousness are viable skills that will help achieve an end product.
4. End Product
The satisfaction from leather workshops come from finishing the product where "blood, sweat and tears" have been poured into it. Even though the whole team will make the same type of item, individual creative expression can still be established. The session could also end up as a common topic for people to start conversations with.
